Born and raised in Stamford, CT, Woodlene Alexis moved to New York City to pursue a career as an elementary school teacher through the New York City Teaching Fellows Master's Program, earned her teaching license, and taught 5th grade for several years. As anything can happen in the Big Apple, she found herself occasionally attending casting sessions, thus beginning a journey in the entertainment industry as a New York City model. She is featured in major National and International print and commercial campaigns such as Coca Cola, Chase, Disney, Amazon, IBM, Starbucks, and Remy Martin to name a few. She has collaborated with Jay Manuel of America's Top Model for Jay Manuel Beauty Cosmetics, as well as modeled for various beauty and fashion editorials.
On a quest to expand her talents to television, film, and voice acting, Woodlene began studying under renowned acting teacher, Anthony Abeson. She studied with Ted Sluberski and has improv experience from Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater.
Woodlene Alexis can be seen as a guest and recurring on network and streaming TV shows such as American Horror Stories, The Bite, Elementary, and The Good Fight. Woodlene is a lead in the pilot, Divorce School, winning Best TV Series at the Los Angeles Film Awards, Best Web Series at the New York Film Awards, and Best Pilot at the Garden State Festival.
