Popularly known as Beyoncé’s longtime lead background vocalist, affectionately nicknamed “Sweet Tea” by the superstar, Tiffany Monique is an acclaimed vocalist, songwriter and artist with an impressive career that spans two decades. Since 2007, Tiffany has left her unique artistic imprint on stages all across the world, from initially performing as one of Beyoncé’s beloved background vocalists “The Mamas”, through most recently being the vocal director & lead background vocalist known as “Sweet Tea” of Pure Honey for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in 2023.
Since the start of her career, Tiffany has participated in and contributed to iconic performances on some of today’s grandest stages, with legendary artists creating historical memories. In her own light, she shines even brighter. When asked to describe Tiffany Monique, journalist Rox Fontaine said the following: "Lovely. That's the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Tiffany Monique. She has Southern Belle grace, New York City attitude and world class talent. She's a true diva and a success story on many different levels."
Tiffany was born in small town outside of Nashville, Tennessee and raised from an early age in Newark, New Jersey. Influenced by journey and legacy of her hometown icon, Whitney Houston, Tiffany grew up with a love and passion for great singing and impactful music. Her first known performance occurred at the age of three years old, when she performed her first solo in church. As she grew, her musical influences and exposure would evolve, with her becoming a fan of legendary and contemporary vocalists like Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Donny Hathaway, Shirley Murdock, The Clark Sisters, Mariah Carey and Faith Evans. She became a fan of gospel, R&B, classical, country and pop music, as well as a fan of hip-hop. Tiffany would formally combine her passion with discipline after being awarded a music scholarship to attend Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Later, she would change schools and majors - graduating from William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey and becoming a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Still, Tiffany had her eyes set on a pursuing a career in music.
Tiffany has built an impressive and expansive career as a featured and/or supporting vocalist. She has performed with many of today’s most respected artists across all genres, including Morgan State University Choir/Morgan Singers, Jessye Norman, Faith Evans, K-Ci & JoJo, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Kenny Loggins, Jeff Foxx, Sting, Jay-Z, Pharrell, Regina Belle, Kelly Clarkson, Anderson Pa.ak, Mariah Carey, The Dixie Chicks , Jon Bon Jovi, Ty Dolla $ign, Ledisi, Ari Lennox, Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson, Common, LL Cool J, Anita Baker and dozens more.
Since 2007, Tiffany Monique has stood alongside Beyoncé as her lead background vocalist and recently Vocal Director of her background vocalist group, Pure Honey™. Her long-time work with and mentorship from the star has allowed Tiffany to grow and develop as a performer at the highest level.
Tiffany is a seasoned vocalist and entertainer, having performed as a supporting vocalist for The Experience Tour, I Am… World Tour, 2013 Super Bowl, On The Run Tour, Formation World Tour, Coachella, the Glastonbury Festival, Formation World Tour, On the Run World II Tour, Renaissance World Tour, and dozens of major award shows and events.
As a solo artist, Tiffany released her debut music project, Nemesis, in 2010 with various single releases to follow, including “Anytime” (2011), “Braving The Storm” (2016), “Take Your Time” (2021) and “Your Love” (2022). In May 2024, she released her latest single, “Magic Moment” on digital platforms worldwide. A woman of many talents, Tiffany is also no stranger to the theater, having first performed roles in musicals and plays as a teenager. Tiffany would explore more opportunities on her acting path with a role as “Aunt Em” in the play, “The Wiz” at the New Jersey Performance Arts Center (NJPAC) in 2003. Already seasoned as supporting performer, Tiffany’s rise as a solo artist continues to expand and evolve into new exciting paths.
